Activity areas are groups of storage bins based on their activities and performance in the warehouse. Activity areas are used for group warehouse tasks based on the resources that are assigned to activities.
How to Define Activity Areas in SAP S/4Hana EWM
You can define activity areas in SAP S/4Hana EWM by using the following configuration steps
IMG Path: SPRO > SAP Reference IMG > SCM Extended Warehouse Management > Extended Warehouse Management > Master Data > Activity Area > Define Activity Area
Step 1: Execute SAP Tcode “SPRO” and enter to continue
Step 2: Choose “SAP Reference IMG”
Step 3: Follow the IMG Path, and execute the IMG Activity “Define Activity Area”
Step 4: On the change view “Define Activity Area” overview screen, click on the “New Entries” option to maintain new activity areas in SAP S/4Hana System.
Step 5: On New entries on the activity area creation screen, update the following details.
- Warehouse No: Update the warehouse number key
- Activity Area: Enter the 4 characters key that defines the activity area in SAP
Define Activity Area
- Description: Update the description text of the activity area.
- Areas Joined
After updating the required details for the activity area, click on the save button and save the details.
