How to Define BP Role Groupings in SAP
Business Partner Role Groupings are used to group the multiple BP roles into one BP role group. When your create business partners in the SAP system, it displays all lists of BP views related to BP roles.
You can define BP roles Groupings and BP Role Category Groups using the following navigation
- Transaction code: SPRO
- IMG Menu Path: SAP Customizing Implementation Guide -> Cross Application Components -> SAP Business Partners -> Business Partner -> Basic Settings > Business Partner Roles -> Define BP Role Groupings
Refer to the below step-by-step procedure to group Business Partner Roles into One BP Role Group.
Step 1: Enter transaction code “SPRO”
Step 2: Click on the “SAP Reference IMG” option
Step 3: Follow the IMG menu path, and click on “Define Role Groupings”
Step 4: In the next screen, under dialog structure – choose the sub dialog “BP Role Grouping Categories” and click on the New Entries option.
Step 5: On new entries of BP Role grouping categories, update the following details
- Role Group Category
- Tile of Role group category
- Description of role group category
Click on the Save option to save details and click on the BP Role groupings option.
Step 6: On the change view “BP Role Groupings” overview screen, click on new entries
Step 5: On new entries of the BP Role Grouping screen, enter the following details
- Role Grouping: Update the new key for BP role grouping
- Title: Update the title for BP role groupings
- Description: Update the description of BP role grouping
- Role Group Category: Now assign the BP Role Grouping category to BP role grouping.
Step 6: Under BP Role Groupings, Click on “BP Role Groupings –> BP Roles and click on new entries to add BP roles.
Step 7: Now add the BP roles as per requirements and click on the save button to save the details.
Successfully we have defined BP Role Grouping Categories, BP Role Groups, and Assigned BP roles to BP role groupings in the SAP S4 Hana system.
