How to maintain number ranges for inspection plans in SAP

You can define the number ranges for inspection plans in SAP Hana Quality Management by using the following navigation method

Step 1: Enter transaction code “SPRO” and in the next screen select “SAP Reference IMG

Step 2: On the display IMG screen, follow the IMG navigation Quality Management – Quality Planning – Inspection Planning – General and execute “Maintain Number Ranges for Inspection Plans”

Step 3: On choose activity screen, double click on “Number Ranges for Inspection Plans

Step 4: On edit intervals: Inspection Plans, Object Routing_Q screen, click on the change intervals button to maintain the number range intervals for inspection plans.

Step 5: Click on the insert line and update the following details

  • NO: Enter a 2 digits key that identifies a number range interval for inspection plans
  • From No: Enter from number i.e., the lower limit of a number range interval of the inspection plan
  • To Number: Enter the to number i. upper limit of a number range for inspection plant
  • Ext: Select this indicator if the inspection plant number range interval is used for an external assignment.

Press enter to continue. A pop-up window with a message of Number Range Intervals Transport displays, press enter and click on the save button and save the inspection plans number ranges intervals in the SAP system.
